While in Doha, Rijiju met with Qatar’s current Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to personally deliver India’s condolences. He lauded the late Father Amir as a visionary leader instrumental in Qatar’s development and in nurturing the strategic partnership between the two countries. Rijiju noted that the Indian community in Qatar deeply mourns the loss and holds the Father Amir’s contributions in high regard.
